Introduction
My name is Jamshaid Iqbal, and I am a dedicated researcher in fluid mechanics. I completed my Bachelor's and Master's degrees at COMSATS University Islamabad, Islamabad, Pakistan, where I built a strong foundation in fluid dynamics and mathematical modeling. I have recently completed my PhD in Fluid Mechanics at COMSATS University Islamabad, Islamabad, Pakistan, with a research focus on peristaltic flow, nanofluids, non-Newtonian fluids, and the application of Artificial Neural Networks to model complex fluid behavior. My work aims to improve the understanding and predictive accuracy of fluid systems in diverse industrial and biomedical applications.
Experience and Projects
I have one year of research assistant experience, during which I contributed to multiple projects and honed my skills in theoretical and numerical analysis. As part of this, I completed a one-year research project in Prof. Dr. Fahad Munir Abbasi’s lab at COMSATS University Islamabad, funded by HEC Pakistan (Grant: 7395/Federal/NRPU/R&D/HEC/2017). Additionally, I collaborated with Dr. Rab Nawaz at the Gulf University in Kuwait for six months, further expanding my knowledge in fluid mechanics. I also completed a six-month research experience in the Department of Mathematics at Vanderbilt University, TN, USA, where I worked in a dynamic academic environment and further strengthened my research expertise in fluid dynamics. This experience enhanced my ability to address complex research problems through theoretical and numerical approaches and contributed to my broader academic and research development.
Postdoctoral Research
After completing my Ph.D. and a visiting research program in the United States, I have now commenced my postdoctoral research at one of Asia’s and the world’s leading institutions, Beijing Institute of Technology (BIT), Beijing, China. My current work focuses on real-world applications in engineering and applied sciences, utilizing advanced analytical, computational, and modeling techniques. This role offers a dynamic environment for high-impact research and international collaboration with top researchers in the field.
